This is the last part of the story of my Japan trip. It is continuation from my previous post, you can read it here, here and here.
This part of story will be my trip around Shin-Kiba. You can click on the link below to read the rest.
So, i woke up early again this time and checked out of the hotel, around 5.30 in the morning. Why in the morning? Well, i actually sleep in Internet cafes, it offered a nice price rather than other available options, and there is a good internet connection there, so why not?
So, anyway after doing some warm-up by walking around the neighbourhood, i went to Kichijoji Station, just by myself this time. I have taking note on how to go to Shin-Kiba station, it’s seems easy and Yuki explained it in details, but still judging from the previous experience, this will be a hard struggle.
When waiting at the platform i saw a junior high school girl alone, so i tried to talked to her. And yeah, luck never leave me, she said she would go to Shin-Kiba Station too, so i asked her to accompany me until Shin-kiba station. She seems reluctant at first maybe because of the language barriers (or am i looks like a shady guy?), but eventually she agreed to help me. I chose to leave this early also to avoid Japan rush hour, i heard a lot of horror stuff about it, but even though it said that not all of the trains like that, i took the safe route and departed early.
The girl, let’s call her Rena (not a real name), said she always went to Shin-Kiba Station in the morning and then run all the way to her school, around 14 minutes she said. She is a member of track-and-field club in her school. The school in Japan started at 8, so it’s safe to do this kind of routine, there will be still time before the class started. We have a lot of conversation, not as much as with Yuki though. We talked about 2020 olympics too, because the place there will become one of the venue and as an athlete of course it’s her dream to appeared on Olympics too, i really like when people started to talk about dream. and also she said about how they are recommended to learn more english for 2020 olympics, everyone must get ready.
She also asked me why i went to Shin-Kiba, when i said i’m going to see a pro-wrestling match, she was surprised and laughed at me, because she also loves pro-wrestling, so the rest of conversation is about pro-wrestling.
It took around 55 minutes to Shin-Kiba Station with 1 transit, i forgot the station name. It’s around 7 in the morning when we arrived at Shin-Kiba Station. She also told me the location of the Shin-Kiba 1st Ring, where the show will be held, it’s very near to the station and also recommending some places to visit before the show started. After saying thanks and all, we exchanged our LINE ID and split up there. I went to Yumenoshima park (All hail free attraction), maybe around 10 minutes walk from the station.
The wrestling show started around 12, i need to show my ID then the staff gave me a ticket within envelope with my name after i paid it on the spot, I need to book it via e-mail previously though.
The show itself was as awesome as i imagine it. My favorite wrestler won the title on the main event, it was an awesome match, if i have the chance to see it again, i’ll be really happy.
The rest of the trip was uneventful, with me sleep on the nearby “hotel” before departing to Airport and take the afternoon flight.
Well, that’s all. I arrived in Indonesia on the 4th day since i left it. I’ll absolutely go to Japan after graduating from University. I can’t wait to meet Yuki there.
