This post is the continuation from the first part, you can read the first part here
This post will contain the rest of the first day of my Japan trip, and a little bit of prologue for the second day. There might be some inconsistency or inaccuracies, it’s all because there is nothing perfect and i can’t remember thing as detailed as i want it to be. So, let’s go to the story. Click Read more to read the story.
When we arrived at the Akihabara, she quickly dragged me down to Gundam Cafe (Again!), well she really loves Gundam series, and (from the photos she showed me) she has a ton of Gundam Model Kit, I didn’t really understand how the gundam kit world works but at least i know that collection isn’t for amateur, and from the way she talked about it, i know she really loves it. After a bit of Gundam tour, i finally be able to stopped her from talking about gundam and took me around for real (lol).
Honestly, Akihabara is scary. You need to hold on your wallet tightly, not because of the burglar or pickpocket, it’s simply because there are a lot of things that you can spend money on (at least for a hobbyist like me) and with Yuki showing around, there are a lot of so-called secret shop on some corner, that of course you can’t find on map guide or something like that. There is also girls that aiming to be an Idol and girls cosplaying maids on the open road, but i can’t stop and talked to them because Yuki kept dragging me around.
One of the shop that i clearly remember is a shop called Fireball. It’s a special shop for trading card games, from Magic:Gathering to Yu-Gi-OH! to a lot others Bushiroads trading card game, there is even some TCG that i didn’t even know exist. lol. I’m just looking around and buy some booster pack for some card game that i like. Well, i’m not really played TCG anymore lately though. But it’s really a feast for eyes.
It’s really a difficult situation for my wallet because it’s keep screaming to me to stop buying things, so i spent most of the time to window shopping, especially when visiting electronic shops, it’s too expensive for my shallow wallet.
Other than that, i also bought some crepes, some games cd, a lot of singles CD that i bought at Tower Records, and a pair of cat bandana for Yuki. She reluctantly agreed to wear it while walking around Akihabara. It’s so funny and so cute at the same time.
Around 18:30, we agreed to go to Yuki’s home, we need to get a proper rest and tommorow will be another long day for me and Yuki has a class in university so she can’t go along with me on the second day.
It’s really an awesome day, with Yuki being so helpful, so cute, so funny yet so annoying at the same time. While i thought i have explored most of Akiba but at the same time there seems a lot more waiting to be discovered, it’s a complicated feeling.
So, we went to Yuki’s house in Sumida area, you can see Tokyo SkyTree there, and it’s quite beautiful during the night. 20 minutes of train from Akihabara, changed 1 time then stopped at HonjoAzumabashi Station, it’s 15 minutes walk from there. It seems a lot of times, but because the atmosphere is great i didn’t feel it at all and enjoyed it all the way.
Yuki lived with her parents and a little brother, and a lot of cats. Well, i don’t mind, i love cats too. After some greeting and introduction (It feels like i’ll marry her and proposing to her family lol) and a nice dinner, she showed me the room i’ll stay in and spread the futon for me. After some good warm bath i quickly went sleep so i can be ready for the next day.
According to my plan, i’ll went along to Yuki’s university before going around by myself. Well, that’s the plan, and i’ll tell you what’s happened on the next post.
